A moment of silence for our losses in May It is with a heavy heart we close out this month with significant losses. Another school shooting in Texas left the nation speechless and children traumatized to go back to school. The South Asian music world also lost two legends, Punjabi artist Sidhu Moosewala and Krishnakumar Kunnath, lovingly known as KK in Bollywood. This May we saw some great South Asian representation in mainstream media with Farhan Akthar making his Hollywood debut with "Ms. Marvel," heavy hitters at the Met Gala and even the first ever Pakistani film to hit Cannes.
